The
Vertec 5000™ Series consists of ketone based polymers
including PEEK (polyetheretherketone), PEK (polyetherketone)
and PEKK (polyetherketoneketone).
This
group of industry leading materials offer high strength,
superb chemical resistance and dimensional stability. Because
they are linear aromatic semi-crystalline polymers, they
retain a high degree of mechanical properties close to their
melting temperature (649°F for PEEK, 705°F for PEK).
Due
to their outstanding characteristics, engineers across many
industries are increasingly replacing metal components with
these superior performing thermoplastics. Vertec Polymers
has improved significantly this family of materials with
specialty formulations targeting increased strength, wear
and lubricity.
