FORTRON® ULTRASON®

The Vertec 7000 Series
consists of PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) and PES (polyethersulfone)
polymers. PPS and PES offer outstanding flexural strength
and good high temperature resistance.
PPS is often used in industrial
applications where long-term dimensional stability at elevated
temperatures is required. Its resistance to most industrial
chemicals and very low liquid absorption rate makes it suitable
for use in chemically aggressive environments. The 7000
Series includes several grades of PPS materials compounded
with glass or carbon fibers, along with other fillers, to
suit specific service requirements. In some applications
where PEEK may be considered over engineered, PPS offers
a lower cost alternative.
