VERTEC 1006 is a carbon fiber filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It exhibits improved creep and wear resistance. Increased thermal conductivity and low coefficient of friction ensure low wear rate even under dry running conditions. It is suitable for gaskets, valve seals, packings, bearings, and piston rings.

VERTEC 1009 is a polymer filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It exhibits good sealability, creep resistance, very low coefficient of friction and low wear rate under dry running conditions. Its non-abrasive nature makes it an ideal sealing material for use against soft metal surfaces in dynamic applications. It is suitable for water and steam service, and therefore it is a good candidate where VERTEC 1011 is not acceptable.

VERTEC 1011 is a polymer filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It exhibits good sealability, very low coefficient of friction and low wear rate under dry running conditions. Its non-abrasive nature makes it an ideal sealing material for use against soft metal surfaces in dynamic applications. It has been met with great success in high speed, high temperature compressor applications. It is widely used for piston cups and oxygen compressors.

VERTEC 1015 is a glass fiber and molybdenum disulfide filled polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE). It is used for bushings, bearings, and sealing elements where low creep properties with good sealability and low wear rates are desirable.

VERTEC 1020 is a carbon-graphite filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. Its ability to run under dry or wet conditions along with its low wear rate makes it an ideal high temperature bearing material. It also offers high load bearing capability, relative to other flouropolymers, for many general-purpose industrial applications.

VERTEC 1021 is a filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It exhibits good sealability, low coefficient of friction and very low wear rate under dry running conditions. It is a little harder and a bit more abrasive than other similar use materials, 1011, and 1110, however it wears better and can handle higher speed applications. It is an ideal sealing material for use against metal surfaces in dynamic applications. It has performed especially well in air compressor applications such as piston cups.

VERTEC 1023 is bronze filled PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). It provides better creep resistance than most of the PTFE alloys. It possesses high compressive strength and good wear and sliding properties. Most common applications include piston rings (compressors), bushes, bearings, and wear pads for high compression sliding applications. Certain chemicals may easily attack bronze.

VERTEC 1024 is PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) reinforced with glass fiber. Glass fiber improves the wear properties of PTFE, lowers the deformation under load at both high and low temperatures, and increases the impact resistance while leaving the electrical and chemical characteristics of PTFE essentially unchanged. It is suitable for piston rings, valve seats, shaft seals, electrical insulators, bearing pads and gaskets. This material should not be used in contact with strong alkalis and hydrofluoric acid.

VERTEC 1025 is an FDA compliant filled PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) material that possesses excellent load and wear characteristics, and works well against soft as well as hard surfaces, like aluminum, mild steel, and 303/316 stainless steels. It is capable of running in steam, wet, dry, and vacuum environments - without any moisture or lubrication. It is widely used in food processing industries.

VERTEC 1027 is a glass fiber filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It exhibits low wear and creep under load. However, since glass fibers are abrasive, use of this material against certain metallic counterfaces must be carefully examined.

VERTEC 1028 is bronze loaded PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). It has the best wear properties, remarkable deformation strengths and good thermal conductivity, but poor chemical resistance. It also possesses excellent creep resistance along with pure PTFE benefits like almost no moisture absorption, low friction coefficient and no flammability. It is often used in hydraulic systems. It is most suitable for piston rings, rider rings, and bearings.

VERTEC 1030 is a polymer and carbon fiber filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It is our proprietary low wearing PTFE material. This material has excellent elastic modulus and very low CTE for PTFE based materials. This material is specifically designed for dry running compressor sealing components and many other dry or demanding bearing applications where PTFE is deemed appropriate.

VERTEC 1031 is a bronze and molybdenum disulfide filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. Due to the higher thermal conductivity of bronze, this material dissipates heat substantially faster than unfilled PTFE. It thus exhibits excellent tribological properties at higher speeds in dynamic applications. Deformation under load is also improved due to the bronze content. Since some harsh chemicals attack Bronze, use in corrosive environments must be carefully examined.

VERTEC 1032 is a green-pigmented glass fiber filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It exhibits low wear and creep under load. However, since glass fibers are abrasive, use of this material against certain metallic counterfaces must be carefully examined.

VERTEC 1037 is a highly filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It is our proprietary low wearing PTFE material with very low coefficient of friction. This material has excellent elastic modulus and very low thermal expansion. This non-abrasive material is specifically designed for bearing and seal applications.

VERTEC 1055 is mica filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It exhibits very low coefficient of friction and low wear rate under dry running conditions. It is an ideal non-abrasive sealing material against soft metal surfaces in dynamic applications. Compared with other filled PTFE materials, it exhibits excellent sealability at high temperatures. It offers excellent dimensional stability, unparalleled chemical resistance and continuous use temperature of 500 oF.

VERTEC 1110 is a polymer filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It exhibits good sealability, very low coefficient of friction and low wear rate under dry running conditions. Its non-abrasive nature makes it an ideal sealing material for use against soft metal surfaces in dynamic applications, such as riderbands, piston rings, piston cups, and various demanding wear pad applications.

VERTEC 1130 is a polymer and carbon filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material that is significantly softer than VERTEC 1030, but it is a much better sealing material with good wear properties. This material has excellent tensile strength and elongation for PTFE based materials. This material is specifically designed for demanding sealing/wear applications where PTFE is deemed appropriate.

VERTEC 1215 is a proprietary, polymer and carbon filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. In addition to retaining the exceptional chemical resistance, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and low friction properties of unfilled PTFE, it also offers significantly improved compressive properties; better wear properties, and low creep under load. It is ideal for oilfield applications as it can effectively handle down-hole chemicals, hydrocarbons, oils, mud, and slurries. Primarily, it is used for dynamic sealing components, such as face seals, packing, riders, and V-packing. It is a significant upgrade from carbon filled PTFE materials normally used in these applications.

VERTEC 1521 is a filled modified PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It exhibits good sealability, low coefficient of friction and very low wear rate under dry running conditions. It is a little harder and a bit more abrasive than other similar use materials, 1011, and 1110, however it wears better and can handle higher speed applications. It is an ideal sealing material for use against metal surfaces in dynamic applications. It has performed especially well in air compressor applications such as piston cups.

VERTEC 3050 is a PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) based material reinforced with carbon fiber for higher strength, stiffness and wear properties. It exhibits superior dry running capability at very low wear rates. Its higher elongation, excellent chemical resistance along with high strength make this material an ideal candidate for high-pressure sealing components used in highly corrosive environments. Due to its extremely low wear “rub-tolerant” characteristics, it has been used extensively as wear components in centrifugal pumps for metal replacements. In addition to improved reliability and increased MTBR (mean time between repair), its tribological features allow for much tighter clearance gaps than API or manufacturer recommended values, thereby increasing pumping efficiency resulting in substantial energy savings.

VERTEC 5000 is unreinforced PEEK (polyetheretherketone) material. Its high mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, combined with excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance, make it the most popular advanced thermoplastic material available today. The use of unreinforced PEEK material is increasingly growing across all industries for metal replacements and other applications. Now, with its FDA approval, PEEK material can also be used to fabricate components in food and beverage as well as medical and pharmaceutical processing equipment.

VERTEC 5001 is Vertec’s high elongation, compression molded unreinforced PEEK (polyetheretherketone) material. Its high mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, combined with excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance, make it the most popular advanced thermoplastic material available today. The use of unreinforced PEEK material is increasingly growing across all industries for metal replacements and other applications. Now, with its FDA compliance, PEEK material can also be used to fabricate components in food and beverage as well as medical and pharmaceutical processing equipment.

VERTEC 5010 is a glass fiber reinforced PEEK (polyetheretherketone) material. It exhibits higher modulus than VERTEC 5000 (neat PEEK), thus offering more resistance to deformation under load at elevated temperatures. This material is an ideal candidate for many structural component applications carrying high static loads. Due to the abrasiveness of glass fibers, its use against soft metal surfaces in dynamic applications must be carefully examined.

VERTEC 5020 is a bearing grade carbon fiber reinforced PEEK (polyetheretherketone) material. It offers higher modulus, mechanical strength and resistance to deformation under load than VERTEC 5010. Due to the presence of carbon fibers, thermal conductivity of this material is 3.5 times higher than VERTEC 5000 (unreinforced PEEK), thus it dissipates heat at a faster rate. It also gives stable and reliable ESD performance providing maximum protection from static charge build-up.

VERTEC 5023 is a proprietary, bearing grade PEEK (polyetheretherketone) material developed especially for the canning industry. Tribological evaluations under dry running conditions have shown its friction coefficient and wear rate to be much lower than any other bearing grade PEEK composite material available in the market. It is more ductile and flexible than our top-of-the-line Vertec 5025 and Vertec 5028 allowing more of a softer contact surface against a variety of metallic counter-surfaces. At the PV values of 40,000 psi-fpm and higher, its coefficient of friction approaches that of unfilled PTFE. Also, the counter-surface wear is much less.

VERTEC 5025 is a proprietary, bearing grade PEEK (polyetheretherketone) material, reinforced with carbon fibers and internally lubricated with different proprietary lubricants to improve dry running capabilities. Tribological evaluations under dry running conditions have shown its friction coefficient and wear rate to be much lower than other bearing grade composite materials available in the market. Its extremely low wear rate along with low coefficient of thermal expansion properties make this material an ideal candidate for replacing metal wear components.

This material is especially suited to centrifugal pump components such as impeller/case wear rings, throat bushings, and line shaft bearings. In addition to improved reliability and increased MTBR (mean time between repair), these features allow for 50% tighter clearance gaps than API recommended values, thereby increasing pump efficiency resulting in substantial savings.

VERTEC 5028 is a high performance PEEK (polyetheretherketone) composite for the most demanding dynamic and structural applications. This bearing grade material, reinforced and with proprietary lubrication, is capable of performing extremely well in high pressure and high velocity applications. It is designed to operate successfully in all environments: dry running conditions, steam service, and water-cooled environments. Its extremely low wear rate along with low coefficient of thermal expansion make this material an ideal candidate for replacing metal wear components. This material is specifically designed for high modulus, high compressive and tensile strengths, high thermal conductivity, lower thermal expansion, lower creep, and higher electrical conductivity requirements than VERTEC 5025.

VERTEC 5030 is an industry standard, lubricated, reinforced bearing grade PEEK material. This 10/10/10 Carbon-fiber, Graphite, PTFE composite is popular for a number of medium PV dynamic applications. It is equivalent to Victrex 150/450FC30.

VERTEC 5035 is a proprietary lubricated PEEK (polyetheretherketone) material. This material is designed for wear rings, rider bands and piston rings in reciprocating compressors for use in lubricated or non-lubricated conditions.

VERTEC 5040 is a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) lubricated PEEK (polyetheretherketone) composite. It offers excellent strength, chemical resistance, and impact resistance along with low coefficient of friction and excellent wear properties.

VERTEC 5045 is a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) lubricated PEEK (polyetheretherketone) composite. It offers excellent strength, chemical resistance, and impact resistance along with low coefficient of friction and excellent wear properties.

VERTEC 5048 is PEEK (polyetheretherketone) based food-grade bearing material. This off-white material combines high compressive strength with very high thermal conductivity. It offers low CTE along with low coefficient of friction. These properties make it an ideal bearing material for applications where carbon fiber or graphite is not desirable. One such application is in food or pharmaceuticals grade service. It has successfully replaced PTFE, bearing grade PPS and PEEK, as well as stainless steel or other expensive metals to produce a growing range of cost-effective parts with outstanding wear, and excellent heat/chemical resistance.

VERTEC 5055 is a carbon filled PEEK (polyetheretherketone) material. This high strength material is commonly used as structural components in numerous applications such as backup rings.

VERTEC 6000 is unfilled (virgin) PI (polyimide). It offers outstanding wear resistance, long-term high temperature stability, and excellent mechanical strength and creep resistance at elevated temperatures. PI possesses the best electrical and thermal insulation values. PI is one of the highest temperature resistant plastics in the market and it is very well suited for high pressure, high velocity applications. PI is routinely used in high temperature bushings and bearings, starter bushings, spacers, valve seats, gaskets, insulators, and fuel pump bearings, seals, and valves. Since imide moiety of PI is hydrophilic, it is not suitable for steam service.

VERTEC 6010 is a 15% graphite filled Polyimide material. It is used in high temperature environments where a balance between strength, low coefficient of friction, machinability, and weatherability is desired.

VERTEC 6011 is a 15% Moly filled Polyimide material. It provides maximum wear and friction resistance in vacuum or dry environments, where graphite actually becomes abrasive. It is primarily designed for seals, bearings, bushings, gears, and other wear surfaces in such demanding and moisture-free applications. Suitable for intermittent use in excess of 700°F.

VERTEC 6020 is a 40% graphite filled Polyimide material. It is used in high temperature environments where long life, lowest coefficient of friction, and maximum machinability is most desirable, but the full strength of unfilled Polyimide is not required.

VERTEC 6030 is a graphite and PTFE filled polyimide based material. The fillers reduce friction and counterface wear, while increasing machinability and processability. Typical applications include rotary seals, thrust washers and discs, bushings and bearings, plungers, wear pads and strips and other high temperature, high pressure and/or velocity (PV) environments. PI is not suitable for steam service.

Vertec 6098 is a reinforced and lubricated PI (polyimide). It offers outstanding wear resistance, and high load bearing capability combined with excellent mechanical strength and creep resistance in the widest range of temperature known for plastics. It is not suitable for steam service.

VERTEC 7010 is glass reinforced PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) material. Its high modulus, low creep, broad chemical resistance and good dimensional stability at elevated temperatures make it suitable for use as structural components under static loads. Due to the low ductility of PPS, use of this material for applications where high impact loads are present must be carefully examined.

VERTEC 7017 is glass and PTFE reinforced PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) material. It offers medium strength, high chemical resistance and good thermal and electrical insulation at elevated temperatures for use in many industrial applications.

VERTEC 7023 is a proprietary bearing grade PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) based material. Internally lubricated and reinforced, it exhibits good tribological properties over a wide range of PV values and temperatures as a bearing material. Due to carbon fiber reinforcement, it has good load bearing capability.

VERTEC 7100 is a proprietary bearing grade PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) material. Lubricated with PTFE and graphite, it exhibits good tribological properties over a wide range of PV values and temperatures; thus it serves well as a bearing material. Due to the low ductility of PPS, use of this material for applications where high impact loads are present must be carefully examined.

VERTEC 7500 is a proprietary reinforced PTFE material. This material is specifically designed for rider bands and piston rings and packing in bone dry reciprocating compressor environments pumping all gases including sour gases.

VERTEC 7501 is a lubricated, reinforced PTFE material. This material is specifically designed for rider bands, piston rings, and other wear components in non-lube, reciprocating compressors, operating in demanding environments.
