Vertec Polymers offers products for every type of tribological environment. From abrasion and corrosion resistant seals, high performance bushing stock operating in bone dry environments, to high efficiency ultra rigid pump vanes and impellar components, and to durable compressor components operating in sour gas. Our products are used for:

  • Seals and gaskets that excel in abrasive, corrosive fluids and gases
  • Bushing and bearing stock which are formulated to exceed the performance of exotic metals like manganese and aluminum bronzes, babbits, and metallized graphite
  • Static, structural components that require corrosion resistance and rigidity up to 550oF

Vertec 1000 Series - Fluoropolymers Vertec 1000 Series are based on PTFE and consist of sealing materials and bushing stock. These materials can operate from sub zero to 500oF, have the lowest coefficient of friction of any polymer system; and have excellent chemical resistance. These products work best at low-to-moderate tribological conditions.

Vertec 3000 Series - Maximum Fluoropolymers Vertec 3000 Series provides maximum chemical resistance for corrosive fluid handling and pumping applications. These products perform best under low-to-moderate tribological conditions.

Vertec 5000 Series - Polyketones Vertec 5000 Series are based on polyketone polymers. These materials easily replace the broadest range of metals due to the highest combinations of physical properties, chemical inertness, hydrolysis resistance, purity, and wear resistance. These products can be used under high loads up to 350oF and under moderate loads up to 550oF. Bearing grade formulations have exceptional performance and exceed the capabilities of the best bearing grade metals. Polyketone compounds also make very good high temperature and high pressure seals.

Vertec 6000 Series - Polymides Vertec 6000 Series are based on polymide polymers. These imide materials have exceptional high temperature mechanical properties, very good tribological performance, and low creep under high loads. Polymides sacrifice chemical inertness to steam and corrosives for superior thermal and physical properties up to 550oF.

Vertec 7000 Series - Sulfone & Sulfide Polymers Vertec 7000 Series are based on phenylene sulfide polymer. This polymer has exceptional chemical inerteness to solvents and corrosives and good physical properties. Bearing grades perform very well in environments that contain water. These products can be used under high loads up to 200oF and under moderate loads up to 300oF. Very good tribological performance.
